Enter Paris. September 26th. It was a Tuesday, if that's relevant.

This trip was not about fashion week though, but as a new beginning. A fresh start. Fashion week was just a plus. Landing in Paris Orly Airport, bags in hand, or rather on a cart because I have my life in suitcases.

BONJOUR PARIS

We've met twice before. You've left your mark on my heart and pulled me back to you, not once, but twice. And with this second tug, you brought me for good. The Parisian life, the most sought after lifestyle. Your streets flooded with smells of the famous french pastries. Your cafes, oh wow your cafes, how long could I sit there and people watch croissant in hand. Your districts all differ from the others. Your 1st arrondissement, home to The Mona Lisa in the Louvre. Your sidewalks in the 2nd arrondissement, filled with French business men and women dressed as they just arrived off the runway in their designer suits and dresses. Le Marais, the 3rd and 4th Le arrondissement, one of the most trendy areas in Paris. You house the Jewish community in Paris and the Picasso Museum. You bring the gay community comfort in knowing they're welcome. Your 5th arrondissement, referred to as the Latin Quarter, has everything from students and history to markets, gardens, and museums. I know I will never get to see all your museums but can only imagine the dates I will get to go on to see some. Your 8th arrondissement, home to some of the richest in the city, and me. I have the privilege of calling you home for the next year, in between the Arc de Triomphe and Parc Monceau next to Champs Elysee. I could write about each of your neighborhoods until my fingers fall off but to someone who has never been to them, will only see them as that, neighborhoods. You and I know them as so much more. Each with their own mini mayor. Each a mini city. Each special in their own. I haven't been introduced to all of you, I am getting to know you more each and every day. 365 days doesn't seem like enough. Maybe it is. I feel Parisian already.

Je t'aime Paris.
